1/10th Scale Electric Hydroplane Racing |
|
|
Welcome to Classic Thunder The first 1/10th Scale Electric Unlimited Hydroplane club in the world!
Our goal is to duplicate unlimited hydroplane racing as closely as we can. Scale skid fin size and left-hand turning are two of our most important elements. Providing a helpful and friendly environment for those that have a common interest in our hobby is what we try to emphasize. We appreciate and enjoy the sport, history and heritage of the unlimiteds and hope to share that with as many people as opportunity allows. Since our inception in 1993, we have tried to recreate not only the boats of several racing eras, but the spirit of fun, respectful competition and comradery within our membership. Over the years our members have raced models of fabulous boats representing time periods ranging from the glory days of the 1950’s to those of the modern era. Those models, most of which have been scratch-built, have entertained countless numbers of spectators for over a decade. We hope you enjoy this web site and encourage any constructive feedback or comments you may have. If you’d like to find out more about what we do, how to get involved in it or just have some questions, feel free to contact us.
Sinerely,
The members of Classic Thunder
P.S. Let's go Racin!
